This. I fail to see how maintaining spacing on the firing line minimizes the potential for contraction - people still have to pass each other going in and out, and if someone is sneezing or coughing they will certainly disperse droplets in the vicinity.

They do indeed. John Sasaki was a TV2 reporter always doing the gun control stories and one day I saw him and his girlfriend there at the range. This was about a month after I blew him off when he wanted comment on the closing of the SF Gun Exchange.
