They pop up for $35 to $40 used one time if you watch eBay.
Here is a new one for $56:

MGW Rangemaster tool with various slide shoes for different guns is by far the best one I have ever used. Holds the slide rock solid, has delrin pads to prevent marring, allows the pusher to only move the slide in the dove tail. I have done many installs on Glocks, Berettas, HKs, and Sigs perfectly with it.
A bit spendy and each gun needs a shoe being the down side."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." Judge Benitez 12-12-2022

As well as this thread where that pusher failed on an XD:

All the ones I've tried have had issues with tough sights installed in odd shaped slides. XD, Beretta, and any slide that doesn't have parallel sides is going to have issues. Same with sights that aren't block shaped. Those sights with canted sides cause the pusher to slide up, bending the screw or sides.
With these, your best bet is probably a hammer and punch. XD's especially, not sure why but they put them on tight.
For a Glock, they're plastic so it doesn't take much. Front sight is screwed on (why don't more guns do it this way?), just buy the tool.Comment

I have a rangemaster and a bunch of shoes for the most common guns but I STILL go to the sight-tool.com one first.MGW Rangemaster tool with various slide shoes for different guns is by far the best one I have ever used. A bit spendy and each gun needs a shoe being the down side.
It also has Delrin contact points that keep from marring the slide.
It tightens up against the top and bottom just like a sight-pro/rangemaster.
It uses the flat bottom of the slide to keep the slide square.
Since it's clamping from all 4 directions, it works without fitted shoes.
When I run into a really tight fitting sight, then I go to the rangemaster or the meprolight which is even stronger than the rangemaster.Randall Rausch

Clamping from the TOP and BOTTOM as well as the sides solves the twisting problem as does shimming the slide in the tool with a scrap piece of old credit card.

If you look at the design of that pusher, the plate on the bottom is held with two screws that you loosen up, place the slide inside and then tighten the plate so the slide is clamped from the bottom and the top.
Then you adjust the side clamp screws to push the slide in the direction that you will be pushing the sight.
That tool is MUCH better design than any of the square tubing pushers with all the blocks and spacers BECAUSE it's clamping from all 4 sides.
Due to the design of the tool, the pusher block will NOT slide upwards due to the angle of the sights.Last edited by ar15barrels; 03-14-2020, 12:27 PM.Randall Rausch

Thanks for the feedback! Bingo on the tight sights...most Sigs I've done lol. I have bent a G43 Trijicon rear with my large Mepro-pusher. Went with the Rangemaster because of my old Glock MGW blue pusher. The Rangemaster definitely requires a bit of setup, but when I've verified everything is setup no slide interference, only sight contact, etc. then GTG...and disassembly for those fine checks/adjustments is easy.I have a rangemaster and a bunch of shoes for the most common guns but I STILL go to the sight-tool.com one first.

My add on to the Rangemaster is a roll of blue painters tape to rest it on/clear the bottom shoe nut during the install!"Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test."
