Ammo has been so cheap the last year. I just happened to buy about a years worth of pistol ammo a couple months ago before all this craziness started. Sure glad I did.

I went to Sportsman’s Warehouse in Rocklin yesterday bought some powder and primers. They had plenty of ammo, all seemed normal and somebody was making a firearm purchase. I didn’t really look at handgun ammo quantity but it looked like plenty for rifles.

Maybe they're worried the neighbors will try to rob them? Or others coming from outside the neighborhood.

That is saying something. They usually have around 100k-200k rounds out on the floor.

bummer for folks not used to living in an authoritarian state and able to get ammo at will (normally), but if you are here and aren't well supplied, that is kind of on you.

It's exactly for times like these that I bought my P30 in .40. Martin B. Retting in Culver City - which as one might imagine is a madhouse of activity atm - is extremely low on just about everything, yet they just got in a large supply of .40 hp and fmj.

well most of the ammo sites are low or out of the common calibers...

There is a rise in new gun owners now so those new gun owners will need ammo as they are starting fresh.

Don't be so sure. All the regurgitated L.E 40 in circulation might change that.

                              Yup!

My non-owning gun buddy told me today that he wanted to go out and buy a G19 now. I've only been pushing him to do so every weekend at golf, for the past 5 years. Too late. Just pray we don't have a 9.0 or 10.0 earthquake now!

So then he asks if he could borrow one for the house. I laughed... NOPE!

Stopped at big5 in Whittier to gauge the situation and they got like 4 long guns and the rest on the left area are BB guns. Ammo is picked. Lots of 223/556 thou on bottom shelf. Weird. Maybe cause of price. I see it as good news. Maybe now more people won't be so antigun.
