Has anyone converted a Glock 20 or 21 into 9mm? I know that it's fairly simple to convert the a Glock 20 into either 357 Sig or 40 S&W and since you can convert a Glock 22 or 23, which has the same bore diameter as the Glock 20, into 9mm I'm wondering how easy it would be to convert a Glock 20 or even a Glock 21 to 9mm?

Not very easy at all.
The magwell is too big for 9mm Glock magazines, so that would need work.
You will either need a new custom made slide to accommodate 9mm barrel or have a custom barrel made. It would cost far less money to just buy a G17 or 19sigpicNRA Benefactor Member -
Lone Wolf Distributors used to make/sell 9x19mm conversion barrels for the Glock 20.
But, they were discontinued due to lack of sales around 2016-2017.
It was reported that reliability (failure to feed stoppages) was not very good, due to the having to utilize the Glock 20 magazine to feed 9x19mm cartridges.
^Some people were modding NFML Glock 20 magazines (crushing/compacting/reforming feed lips) to try and improve feed reliability.sigpic

I have one of those barrels, very unreliable feeding. I haven't used it in a couple years for this reason.https://www.activejunky.com/invite/132380

Sounds like a solution in search of a problem. Why not just pick up any of the other frame size pistols and a conversion barrel? Police trade in .40s are pretty reasonable right now. Even a new blue label G17 isn't much more.Comment

By the time you buy all the parts you're almost in for the cost of a new Glock pistol altogether. Just buy a 9mm Glock.NRA Benefactor Life Member

To the OP, I think part of the reason .40s&w and .357sig worked in a Glock 20 is because the .40s&w is based on the 10mm, but with a shorter case and lighter bullets, and .357sig is a necked down .40s&w. The case for all of these is the same diameter.
As stated above you would need a proper barrel, spring, and magazines made for 9mm to have a chance of working well in a large frame glockComment

I had a conversion barrel, and reemed it to 9x23 Winchester. Lone Wolf used to sell a 6" G20/40 conversion barrel. They dont anymore. You also need to modify the 10mm magazines feed lips to hold the 9mm cartridge.Has anyone converted a Glock 20 or 21 into 9mm? 2Azone sells only frames for like 220 out the door or something like wich saves some cost for custom parts.

I was gonna say .38 super might be worth it but that cooler (yes, I know what 9x25 is, I just have a thing for obsolete calibers!)Originally posted by ysr_racerPlease don't bring logic and reason into an interwebs discussion
