    Is it just me?

Anyone else ever wonder why people selling "NIB" or "LNIB", or 99% collector guns on the gun boards always choose to photograph their "MINT" gun in the bushes, in the gravel, on rough asphalt, on granite boulders? I always cringe when I see the ads, wondering, how much damage did they do placing it in those situations? Come on people, dont you have some old Crown Royal bags around to place under you collector grade guns?

    Yes I wonder.

Grass is ok but hard asphalt, rocks, etc. Worse, the old knife blade through the trigger guard.

I could not agree with you more. It is like when you see a beautiful Shelby Mustang in the mud. It does not make too much sense.

LOL, thought I was the only one who thought it to be strange. Makes me cringe also.

i'll make sure *if* i ever sell anything it'll be in purple velvet cloth when taking pictures. didn't know this mattered a lot to some folks. but some folks that put pictures here with a background of pebble or what not take awesome, AWESOME pictures. if i wanted a very nice scenery like that, i'd be putting some kind of padding now showing in pictures. or maybe they did do that and you just don't see it? i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here.

Nice one, that is why I bought my Glock 17. NIB meant New In Box It was photographed while in the box, came to me in the box. Handled it a bit, did my safety handling test with it, now I get to pick her up on Thursday
