    Arsenal SGL23-76 rare?

Sorry if this is a rookie move (first general discussion post). I'm looking to trade or sell at a local shop and I'm pretty sure this is a kind of rare AK but don't want to get taken. Maybe 300 rounds through it. Anybody have a ballpark on what it's worth?

I know it's no longer being manufactured as well.
It's CA compliant and has upgraded FCG. Also has the 'Right to Bear Arms' stamp on receiver. Any info would be appreciated.

I would say rare in the fact that it wasn't a very desirable model. The SGL-23, I do believe is referring the Arsenal factory California bullet buttoned rifle. They entered the CA market late in the game and during that time, many SGL-21's that retained the original magazine released but were made California legal via a bullet-button/assault planet mag lock were also on the market.

Is a regular mag released been retrofitted onto that rifle? I'm guessing its being sold as featureless. In totality, its a nice rifle with a Russian CHF barrel and receiver.

I dunno what that stamp is all about, if anything it probably lowers the value.

    How much they asking?

Rare AKs are usually pre/post ban type stuff...those are worth money to collectors only..

What you have isn’t rare...plenty were sold, they are just scarce because of import sanctions...It’s still a nice Russian rifle though, that engraving might be a major hit on value, I wouldn’t want that

Good standard AK as previous people have said not rare and as an ak enthusiast it hurts me that it has engraving on the receiver. You may be able to find someone who is into that type of thing though.

I would say $700-$900 gun depending on the actual condition.

Engraving really hurts it because it's a personal touch. You might like it but someone else might not like it at all.

It’s a Russian Izmash made Arsenal. It’s worth 1400 or more in the open market.

The Right to Bear Arms engraving is likely from the Cali series released Arsenal.

I agree that the "right to bear arms" stamp is most likely factory from arsenal in nevada. They were putting that on the bullet button tool keychains for california.
