    10/22 heavy barrel

Man I've been trying to get a 10/22 with a heavy barrel for so long. But everywhere I see online will not ship to California.

Sometimes I think about just buying one off the shelf and adding the bull barrel and the over molded stock. But it seems like that would be overkill. Maybe I could just buy the parts? Who knows.

    Any thoughts from you guys?

Buy the receiver from Brownells and customize the rest, I have so many stock 10/22 parts laying around.

you mean one like this ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Shop rifle parts (2,413) at Brownells, including barrels, stocks, triggers, and bolt carriers to customize, repair, or upgrade your rifle’s performance.

I upgraded the stock barrel on my 10/22 with this:

You will find that the trigger group, charging handle, mag release
upgrades will lead you down the rabbit hole; so might as well build
one to your liking with the Brownells receiver mentioned above and
assemble a custom 10/22 - rather than upgrade a stock model IMHO.

If you've ever built an AR from scratch, this will be a cakewalk

Are you referring to the Ruger 1230?

CDNN sells the 10/22 Target. They don't like shipping guns to CA, bu they will if its obviously legal.

Yeah the 10/22 is easy to work on,put a stock 20 inch stainless on mine last year in all of ten minutes still groups just great was looking for more distance with a longer barrel not much if any but it looks cool and it was only 60 bucks. Not the phosphate stainless but a honest to God polished stainless.

I will eventually order one of the 1-9” twist bull barrels, only like $100 usually. I bought a pair of 10/22’s in 2013 for future modification

Get the crew working OT and buy a Kidd. They sell barrels and great triggers,

I see them online like some of the guys posted. The wooden stock looks really nice. It's kind of a gray color. It looks like I could build the whole thing from scratch for about the same price. I wish I could buy it locally here but I may have to order it.
