Questions on ammo choice for ported barrel

I have a question for those whom have or many have owned/shot ported barrels in a handgun (purchasing one). I seem to find very little info on the web about the use of JHP in a ported barrel. Anyone with input would really help me decide.

For FMJ I normally shoot sellier&bellot / american eagle
For JHP or similiar I shoot SIG V-crowns/ hornady crit duty/defense

Don't worry about it. If they were lead bullets, maybe you might want to check if the ports were getting clogged, but shouldn't be a concern with jacketed. Unless you ported it yourself with a Black and Decker drill.

Makes no difference as to the ammo you shoot. Ported or non-ported can shoot whatever you want
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

doesn't matter but for your peace of mind, try shooting ammo of your choice to see for yourself how they perform.

The jacket of the JHP contacts the lands and grooves

The lead tip does not contact the barrel.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
