    1 in 30 Days Exemption?

I know new or used guns from an FFL count against your 1 in 30 days. PPTs and Consignments are exempt from the 1 in 30 days. But what if someone from California sneds me a gun to somewhere here in California through an FFL? Is this still considered a PPT or does it count against your 1 in 30 days?

If the firearm is shipped, then it is considered a dealer transfer and the 1 in 30 day wait applies.

PPT = face-to-face transfer between CA residents facilitated by a CA FFL dealer.
If firearm is shipped, then it's not a PPT.
If one of the parties involved is a non-resident, then it's not a PPT.

I try to learn something new every day from this forum, so, the 1 in 30 limit in LA county is based on your residential address? Not that the purchase is made "IN" LA county. Mark

It is not based on your address. It's based on where you do the Dros. Example: I can legally Dros a firearm in L.A. City limits on Monday and Dros another firearm in San Diego on Tuesday provided at least one is a PPT. However if I did it the other way, I would have to wait 30 days.

I thought LA City did away with that when they lost the court case and started having to allow the sale of pocket guns in city limits which they had also banned.

No, there is still a 1 in 30 limit in LA City.

That's absurd, that needs to go away.
