I don't deny this. I'm counting the days until I make my journey there. Bringing all of my California retirement money and pension to spend in Arizona. Leaving California politics to rot with the state.

I lost hope for California years ago. The once great state has degenerated into almost third world status. DemocRATs have their super-majorities in both houses, they're implemented ballot-harvesting to keep it that way.

Good luck fixing that mess. I mean that sincerely, good luck. I'm just tired of watching it slide continuously in the direction opposite of liberty. Life's too short to spend it in a constant fight, with no sign of victory.

My quote coupled with the "smilies" you intentionally parsed, denotes a clear choice.

Stars n Stripes? [patriot]....or.... White flag of surrender?[coward]

The world's largest English Language dictionary define the action of those who run away and wave a white flag, [as you have done].

Your actions define your role. Your words are just blah blah blah, and mean nothing.

Woe be us all if on Apr. 19th, 1775 those standing at Old North Bridge in Concord, Mass. Did what you have done. I assure you they would not be now known as Heroes and Patriots. Their actions defined them. Just as does yours.
And to keep with your military-ish definitions, I'll define one who stays and fights in the face of impossible, and continuously worsening odds, only to be slaughtered, as an idiot.

You miss the point. Nobody is running away. They're escaping. Do you define the POW as a coward for running away from the prison camp?

I wasn't familiar with the term, so I looked it up:

          Merriam Webster - idiot noun

1: a foolish or stupid person

Oh, I'm not by any means tagging pacrat. If he stayed, he tagged himself.

I walk around everyday with my Sig concealed, How about you? When I ride my motorcycle I wear it on my side.

When I walk into Walmart or a restaurant or just about any damn place in town, there is no problem, no panic.

When I shoot my AR's at the range, I push the mag release to drop the mag and put a fresh 30 rounder back in. They have all evil features.

When I buy a new pistol I go to the gun shop and buy what ever I want (no list) in roughly 20 minutes and walk out with it then and there.

If I look in the paper and see a firearm for sale I can go to the sellers house and buy it on the spot with merely an AZ. license.

I can drive with a pistol in the console or glove box or trunk and not have to have it under lock and key.

I can also walk from my house to the vehicle without having it locked up.

I can loan it to my friends or borrow one of theirs. I can buy ammo online.

That is just some of the freedoms I live with everyday. Others are no smog

laws, 5 year vehicle registration for $130.00, free bags at the grocery store,

no helmet laws, free straws, no human feces on the sidewalk, absolutely no

traffic, 75mph limit, friendly people, low gas prices, clean air.

I also have no mortgage, low property tax, free water and cheap utilities.

That's about it Forrest, but I'm sure there are a few more things.

If staying in CA is your way of defining your role in the 2A battle, I wish you

luck with your decision and I wont even come up with a list of derogatory

terms because I don't see it your way. I decided to unload that burden and

live free till I die. I fought in CA for a lot of years, but finally realized I was

going to die fighting a losing battle.

I have a feeling you are going to come to the same realization some day.

I wish you all the best.

Well, when you put it like that...it sure clearly shows what the differences are. Makes it look pretty bad around here...which it is...

I took your comments to imply that I'm a coward for the act of leaving California, rather than choosing to remain behind for whatever reason. Please correct me if that is not the case. We can continue this dialog from whatever reply you choose.

That said, I get some people are stuck here due to family, job, ankle bracelet, or other reason. But if the only reason someone is staying is to fight the government, that person is tilting at windmills, and a foolish or stupid person. They won't win.

The beauty of this whole deal with the Yavapai County B.O.S. doing this is there really was no immediate threat to the gun laws. Most states/counties in the U.S. would die for the 2A freedoms Yavapai County experiences.

This is akin to L.A. County B.O.S. declaring the county a sanctuary for celebrities and sunshine just in case those freedoms come under threat.

Just think of how good it must feel that the people that represent you have your best interests in mind even when it is not an issue.

                              Talk about hedging your bets.
