eBay has a 10 round limit. And also prohibits standard capacity blocked to lower capacity.

Right, out of state. I've used gunbroker a few times. Gunsamerica looks legit but I haven't used. Anyone use another gun sales site to sell out of state?

Tell your friend just to throw them into the back of the safe for now.
Things became a bit more complicated after that window closed.
I would not take those mags out onto BLM, public lands. Private property, pay-for shooting ranges, yeah.

Tell your friend to keep the receipts that show purchase date and documentation that shows that the ban as lifted for that week.

This is sort of a nothing/common sense issue. Trying to sell "now illegal" magazines around, may bring you/your friend some real grief.

I've sold out-of-state on Armslist, even though they were listed here in Pittsburgh (PA).

Other firearm forums are ALSO a possibility.

Tell him not to be an idiot and keep them. I got mags for guns I don’t even own yet.

Bah, California law is only valid in California. He would be offering them for sale out of state, especially if he says in the ad "no sale to california".

Or this. The carbine bug may strike sometime down the line. What's he going to get? 10 or 20 bucks each?

Can't he still block the mag to hold less than ten rounds and sell them?

Since the OP insinuated that he would be offering for sale from California, it would be a violation of 32310PC.

Yes, but as said earlier, ebay has rules against blocked mags. If it is true, he would not be prohibited from selling blocked mags elsewhere if their rules allow it.

They are legally acquired and owned though. I take my freedom mags out all the time. The burden of proof is on them, not me. Aren't they legal to possess and use if we bought them during freedom week?

There is no burden of proof. Mere possession is all that is needed. No mater when they were acquired (even freedom week).
But, there is the injunction right now. So use them if you want.

I am not trying to argue, I am asking questions to find information.

Is it currently legal to possess and use freedom mags that were legally acquired during freedom week? If so, I can possess them all I want and if I get questioned I ain't have to inform the officer that my mags were legally acquired. At that point they'd have to prove they weren't. Possessing them isn't a crime if I got them legally right?
