It made me think, what if it was just a situation where the neighbor's dog wasn't dying but was getting freaked out by the noise?

My feeling for that scenario would be different and I would probably have asked the neighbor if they expected me to stop shooting altogethor because of their dog?

Try to work out a friendly agreement where you will let them know when you are going to shoot so that they can bring their dog inside ahead of time.

now see... even dogs sleep during those hours but would give them benefit of the doubt. maybe their clock was set to 3:30pm.

Some carpet shops throw away the new remnants
Most installers cut up the pad into strips and throw it away at the shop

3 layers of carpet pad and concrete wire mesh to hold it in place.
