    Concrete bolts

Hey guys, I'm putting down some new flooring in the family room, I need to move my safe. Can I just unbolt and reuse the bolts in the same hole? Do I need to use new bolts and redrill new holes?

    Thanks
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

So are they concrete anchors that come up through a wood floor? If so, can you leave the anchors in the concrete and just remove the nut (that should be inside your safe, floor around them, and then put the safe back on top. No need to take the bolts/anchors out.

    Picture might help.

What scbauer said. You can’t pull those out and reuse them. Hole will be oversized, plus they’re a PIA to get out. If you must, id say grind them flush, move safe over 2 inches and anchor away

It's been a while since I bolted it down...see link below. They are similar to those, I think.

Ah, I see. So not anchors, but actually bolts. I would guess you could install new bolts in the old holes, or maybe drill the holes a bit larger and go to the next size bolt.

            ......

if you have the above link's type then you can easily reuse or get a shorter/longer bolt when the new floor is installed.

oops! didn't see your sample. so reuse it if the new flooring is close to the old flooring thickness. if not, get shorter/longer replacement.

I might suggest using a more substantial bolt when you replace the safe

The safe is a lever. It might be easy to pull those out of the floor

Something like this. Either 3/8” or 1/2” and large washers

The load capacity depends on the substrate, installation torque and installation depth. For concrete the specifications indicates tension capacity of 1620 to 2200 lbs and shear capacity of 2300 to 2800 lbs

Those type of SCREWS are single use.
The threads get mashed down as they go into the concrete.
Replace them after removing them once.

They are screws because they screw into a material.
Bolts have conventional threads and accept a nut.
The best way to bolt down a safe is with concrete anchors that wedge-lock into the concrete as the nut is tightenend, drawing up the spindle of the anchor.

All kidding aside. I worry about the holes in the cement holding up to new screw bolts. I hate to drill holes in my foundation.
