Found Dad's Old Gun Cleaning Supplies

Last summer my mom gave me some shoe boxes that belonged to my Dad. Yesterday I opened one up and found these items. I hope you get a kick out of them, too.

Note: $.54 for solvent; $.55 for patches.

That is really cool OP. I love finding old "gun" stuff like that.

I have a shelf in my office I keep old stuff like that on. It's like a reminder of yesteryear, a yesteryear that for the most part I wasn't a part of but it is a reminder of those enthusiasts that came before me.

I do buy random stuff, ammo, cleaning supplies, literature, tools things like that and just store them for someone down the line to be able to marvel at it at a later time. Probably a dumb idea but whatever, a 2A enthusiast might like looking at it in 40+ years down the road and I'm happy to oblige.

        Thanks for sharing OP.

I was reading through the pamphlet and realized the pages are waxed. I reckon so as to prevent ole No. 9 and the gun grease from smearing or ruining the print! Hah! Utilitarian. Probably why it survived.

I've picked stuff up like that at the local haz waste reuse facility. Free.

Oh yeah, old gun stuff is neat.

A couple years ago my son gave me an old ammo can with some old stuff in it that was given to him by the wife an older gentleman that my son use to help.

I really like this Ol' Sarge cleaning kit......

Somewhere in all my crap I have a shotgun cleaning kit with three 12" long wooden rods with brass ferrules and brass jags, bore brushes and mops. All in a nice wooden box with red felt lining.
