R700 Magpul DBM on Left-hand action

Wondering if there would be a problem installing a Magpul DBM on a Left-handed SPS Varmint?

Not knowledgeable enough with bolt guns to know if "handedness" makes a difference on how the mag feeds?

    thanks in advance.

    (P.S. I've looked at most DBM's I can find and I don't recall seeing a "right-hand action only" designation.)

Shouldn't be a problem. I work for a small custom bolt gun manufacturer and order these parts all the time and are universal for "handedness".

If you're running Remington action, I would use only single stack mags in it.

You may have to do some inletting to the stock to get it to fit.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Thanks for confirming about handedness....R700 action, yes.

First I've heard of single vs. Double stack mags?

Are Magpul's .308 mags single stack? Or is that the idea behind AI-Style mags?

There is no difference in magazines or bottom metal on left hand vs right hand 700's.
Triggers, actions, bolt stop spring, bolt and stock are different.

AICS short action mags are center-feed mags double stack. (like a Glock)
The lips fit up through the middle of the 700 receiver's feed rails.

AICS Long action mags are center feed single stack. (like a 1911)
The lips fit up through the middle of the 700 receiver's feed rails.

AIAW mags are staggered feed double stack. (like an AR-15 or UZI)
The lower rails of a 700 receiver have to be cut to clear the magazine lips.
