    Lever release Rifles

This is not a semi auto but almost as fast. I wonder why they are not sold in america for markets with semi auto restrictions.

Basically you pull the trigger, the gas pushes the bolt back but it locks back on a lever which must be released to fire again

its funny how gun tech for UK laws are becoming valid options for us in CA.

it looks like this option requires a modded lower and different lower parts.

to be honest, the pistols they have on roster just needs a modified charging handle and it would be just as fast.

found two just by typing in drop in side charging handle.

            Interesting for sure.

There was a guy in NV who had built a pump action AR15 upper that seemed much more viable though

I’ve always thought that the Fortner bolt system would excel in the the AR15 application, although there are prob some patents that would stand in the way of this happening

didn't troy build a factory pump action AR15? and it was nearly forgotten?

Charging by charging handle would mean losing cheek weld and be slower.

There is a version I saw which did not mod the lower and used the hole for the safety.

about copyright I am sure they would be willing to license because lever release AR were banned recently in england because it was too fast.

Older thread here on the "modifed bolt catch", a spring under your bolt catch forces it to hold the bolt back on every shot thereby making your AR single shot.

Here is a 147 yr old lever locking bolt rifle design that puts all the TACTI-KEWL clowns to shame.

The problem with most of the "bolt stop" type conversions is that the bolt stop can be held down and then the gun functions as a semi-auto.
