    Gun safe organization

Do you guys have any tips or recommendations on any accessories to organize a safe?

I have a Liberty safe fatboy jr extreme and I have a ton of mags that's are just taking up alot of space.

I just tried to organize it and was able to clear up a single shelf but still looks kinda messy.

I'm running out of space and I have a couple toys that I'm picking up soon and need to make some more room.

    Any tips?

Store the bulk of the ammo and mags out of the safe. Locking ammo cans or a locking cabinet also stackon can work well for that stuff.

I used these for pistol mag storage which cleaned things up a bit:

I used these for AR mag storage which cleared thing up more:

Then I used a couple of these which totally organized things quite nicely:

Turns out, now I can add a few more firearms to the safe

I like the molle mag holder idea. Do you know of any companies that make a molle door panel? Mine came with a panel that has 6 pistol pouches and what not but I prefer to store all the mags on the door if possible and just use pistol hangers or those pistol racks from midway that you recommended

Hahaha!!!! My mags are scattered everywhere! Underwear drawer? Yep! Under the bed? Yep! Hall closet? Yep! Safe? Nope! Guns only in that thing and I have to lean into the door to close it.

Hahaha I did the same and my wife started complaining so I had to shove them in the safe. Having them scattered isnt an option anymore

I retrofit my safe (19 cu. ft. Safe) with SecureIt tactical panels. I can easily store 30+ handguns and 10 rifles. I then added a molle door panel from stealth tactical and got some Raiseek (brand name) 8 mag pouches off amazon. Each mag slot will hold one double stack mag or two single stack mags. I also have more room to store guns on if the door if I ever need to.

This is the route I went since I couldn’t fit a bigger safe. Obviously if you have more than 10 long guns, you’ll probably have to choose something else, but most of my collection is handguns.

Edit: FatBoy Jr is significantly larger than mine. A retrofit will give you a boat load of extra room

Fatboy Jr Extreme is too small a safe to put anything other than your guns. Magazines can go in a box.

Used office furniture stores have 3-foot wide/6-foot tall metal storage cabinets with doors and locks, you can put a padlock on it for extra security, they make great ammo lockers.

Yep. Only guns and some selected loaded mags are in my safe.

Mags that are not meant for HD or STHF I store in weather sealed stackable tool boxes in my workshop/man cave. Some are permanently in range bags that are ready to go.

Guns in safe, ammo in garage locker, loaded mags in drawers for easy access. This works for me as all my firearms are locked away, some in quick access safes.

I also have a man purse with loaded mags for my HD pistol and for HD rifle, flash light and knife. Its a purse because I want to be able to swing it around my body for access, and getting it out of they way. In a firefight, its good to be able to grab everything you need in one go.

I don’t keep mags in the safe, if you have a lot they take up to much space. I store pistol mags in 10 mag pouches, and put them in a big tub

Rifle mags are stored in surplus pouches, and stored in tubs also

I don’t keep them loaded, so security is not an issue for me
