The 'How many firearms in your log' thread

Something in another thread reminded me that I hadn't logged my firearms since I purchased my log book, so I just went and did that. At the end of the day I had 22 firearms logged, of course I only logged firearms with serial numbers.

So how many firearms do you guys have logged? And if you have no plans of ever logging your firearms all I can say is *tisk tisk*.

I have all mine on Excel spreadsheets, so there!

Good way to keep track of things like maintenance and also just in case anything should happen you will know the serial numbers.

I keep all mine in Excel, along with total rounds fired, rounds fired by type, last time I used it, and the last time it was cleaned.

that being said, I only really use one line, since the other 3 rifles are all in receiver and part stages :/

I'm a little fish in a big pond... I know a few collectors with 1000+ firearms...

The most I ever had at any one time was something like 70 or 80 firearms total... not that much by any stretch of the imagination...

I'm probably down to under 20 total... unless you count stripped receivers...

My son and I inventoried the rifles a while back, I have added a few since then and have not added them I will do so tonite, last count of rifles and shotguns around 60. I will do the handguns when I get a chance. I am by no means a collector, I just have what I want. well almost.

I use GunTracker; I like it for it's reporting functions and how it integrates with the Blue Book, but unfortunately they haven't revised it since 2004 and it has some problems with high res display settings (I'm running at 1600x1200 and fonts/text are messed up inside the program window itself). Current count is 65; but the GF is looking at fancy shotguns, so that will probably change.

I just photographed them all including close-ups of the serial number with my ID in the picture. (in anticipation of post theft or post katrina-esh confiscations)

I think I've only got 45 or so, counting stripped receivers.

Built, something like 30? Haven't checked lately. Going up +5 next time I make a run to Bright Spot to pick up goodies...
