    Favorite gun related songs

Reading through some of these threads about the government confiscating our guns and what not reminded me of one of my favorite songs of all time... Guns of Brixton by the Clash.

So I was wondering what other songs you guys like that are related to guns.

    Sir Mix-A-Lot: No Holds Barred.

When my house got robbed, a top notch job
Cops laughed while my mom just sobbed
9-1-1 only works for the rich ones
    So I collect GUNS!
    ...
    Gun control - I ain't wit it
They banned the AK and any fool can STILL get it
    ...
    Hypothetical situation
Gun control starts sweepin the nation
Now you got a bunch of unarmed innocent victims
    Gettin F***ED by the system
Sittin at home with a butter knife, huh
Any fool could rape your wife
So what's up when the criminals can't be stopped?
The only one with guns are the COPS
But it's hard for a brother to trust police
Huh, so the s**t don't cease
So I go downtown to buy a hot gun
I hated criminals, and now I'm one
Because I bought a gat to protect my house
The cops wanna bust me out?
So it's illegal to protect yourself?
Hell, you either get killed, or you in jail
    So when you vote
You better think about what I just wrote

Lupe Fiasco- put you on game
Not exactly highlighting the positive aspects of the gun but......some good poetry/delivery.

Back in the day when Usenet was the main gun forum on the internet, there was a huge thread about gun songs - we collected up hundreds of them, not including rap. Can't find the links any more, but here are a few off the top of my head:

              Hendrix - Machine Gun
Depeche Mode - Barrel of a Gun
              Marty Robbins - Big Iron
Johnny Cash - Don't Take Your Guns to Town
              Akon - Gunshot
Beatles - Happiness is a Warm Gun
Warren Zevon - Lawyers, Guns, and Money
Warren Zevon - Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner
              Robert Johnson - .32-20 Blues
Gang of Four - Armalite Rifle
Mission of Burma - That's When I Reach For My Revolver
              Cher - Bang Bang
Boogie Down Productions - 9mm Goes Bang

There are many, many more, but I gotta run...

Steve Earle- The Devil's Right Hand
Johnny Cash- I Hung My Head (Sting's version sucks)
                Insert something clever here.

"Trigger Happy" by Weird Al. I know it is probably anti-gun, but being that I poke fun at myself and others who love guns, I get a kick out of listening to it.

Got an AK-47, well you know it makes me feel all right
Got an Uzi by my pillow, helps me sleep a little better at night
                      There's no feeling any greater
Than to shoot first and ask questions later
Now I'm trigger happy, trigger happy every day

Well you can't take my guns away, I got a
                      Constitutional right
Yeah, I gotta be ready if the commies attack us tonight
I'll blow their brains out with my Smith and Wesson
That out to teach 'em all a darn good lesson
Now I'm trigger happy, trigger happy every day

                      CHORUS
Oh yeah, I'm trigger, trigger happy
                      Yes, I'm trigger, trigger happy
(Oh baby, I'm) trigger, trigger happy
                      Yes, I'm trigger, trigger happy
(Oh, I'm so) trigger, trigger happy
                      Yes, I'm trigger, trigger happy
Better watch out, punk, or I'm gonna have
                      To blow you away

Oh, I accidentally shot Daddy last night in the den
I mistook him in the dark for a drug-crazed Nazi again
Now why'd you have to get so mad?
It's just a lousy flesh wound, Dad
You know I'm trigger happy, trigger happy every day

Oh, I still haven't figured out the safety on my rifle yet
Little Fluffy took a round, better take him to the vet
I filled that kitty cat so full of lead
We'll have to use him for a pencil instead
Well, I'm trigger happy, trigger happy every day

                      CHORUS

Come on and grab your ammo
What have you got to lose?
                      We'll all get liquored up
And shoot at anything that moves

Got a brand new semi-automatic weapon with a laser sight
Oh, I'm prayin' somebody tries to break in here tonight
I alwaays keep a Magnum in my trunk
You better ask yourself, do you feel lucky, punk?
Because I'm trigger happy, trigger happy every day!
