Standards for Marksmanship At Speed (Based on the White Settlement Shooting)

John from "Active Self Protection" YouTube channel has done a pretty good video (IMO), highlighting the speed and marksmanship requirements based on the recent church shooting in White Settlement.

The first part of the video is dedicated to what the initial security guard who was killed, was faced with and the second part deals with the distance shot that Jack Wilson was faced with.

One important point in the video - towards the end, when he is looking to "slow down to make the shot," he also slows down the actual draw, not just taking more time to settle the sights. This is one of the most common mistakes people who don't regularly practice "hard draws" make.

Remember, the hands move as fast on a 15 yard head shot as they do on a 3 yard center mass shot. The only difference should be the time to settle down the sights.

This is why online shooting videos are like online news - not entirely accurate.
