    More CNN bias

basically a farmer shoots one of two car thieves as they try to drive off with his car stolen from a barn. they also try to run him over after he commands them to stop.

Authorities do not plan to file charges against a Florida orange grove owner who fatally shot a 21-year-old woman, saying he is protected under the state's controversial "no retreat" law.

once again the liberal media protects the criminals and questions the laws that protect law abiding citizens.

moral of the story: don't steal, and nobody gets hurt.

Yes they questioned it, and the article leaned a little but considering whats been in the news lately. This article was pretty balanced, they even got a quote from the N.R.A. you don't see that everyday.

btw this thief is a major scumbag, who takes their girlfriend on a Grand theft and ditches her when it goes bad, scumbag...

I see the "no retreat law" as a PERFECT deterrence to people who commit crimes against others.

If ALL criminals thought that they may get shot for committing crimes, I think they would think twice about committing crimes.

Didn't seem like a biased story to me, I actually enjoyed it, made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The idiot who jacked the SUV gets charged with murder, that's great!

And to think: some people question why I would ever want to move back to Florida and why I maintain dual residency there?

"The shoot-first law is not needed," said Brian Malte of the Brady Campaign. "This person, regardless of the situation, may have done the right thing, but he cannot be prosecuted for doing something wrong if he hit an innocent bystander," he said.
The Brady Bunch, yet again operating on 'what if'. He did not hit an innocent bystander, however, both in principle and according to this very statement by Mr. Malte.

Tragic that a young woman died, but that is the risk she assumed when she accompanied her boyfriend in criminal trespass, felony grand theft auto and attempted assault with a deadly weapon(running over the owner). Her boyfriend bears full responsibility for the results.

Good story. Don't break into people's property, steal their car, and then try to run over the owner of the car. See, that was easy, wasn't it?

The reporting seems fairly balanced to me. Actually, notice how it presents the Brady Campaign's "what if" scenario, then gives the NRA the last word, and they're well spoken and reasonable words at that.

I've been seeing more and more sympathetic portrayals of legal gun owners lately. I think that some in the MSM are realizing how they got yanked around on the Mexico "gun running" numbers (just a theory).

The word that the gangs are getting their weapons from the Mexican military and other Central American military purchases seems to have gotten around...
