I was browsing a shooting accessories site and came across magazine brushes. To be honest, I had never really thought about cleaning my magazines but, it does sound like a good idea. My question is, what do these brushes offer that a soft toothbrush lacks?

Be sure to ask your doctor if depression, rectal bleeding, and suicide are right for you.
In the United States a person's expertise on a subject is inversely proportional to their knowledge of the subject: The less they know about something, the more they become an expert on it.

Honestly; it can often be very well worth it to buy the right tool for the job. Are these brushes sized to actually fit certain magazines? Can you post a link?
I know from past experience that certain toothbrushes with all the rubber / silicone ergonomic handles & angled necks, have a real hard time fitting inside of something slim like an AR15 magazine.
So, in that situation; a correct & proper tool would be very beneficial to actually getting the job done.
Very true. Here is the link of the one that I came across. https://www.cedhk.com/daa-mag-brush

I have one. Works great for me when competing in USPSA matches. Dropping mags in loose dirt and even mud, a tool like this is essential. They do quick work at cleaning the inside of the mag in between stages.
Don't see a need for them if you're shooting paper or plinking steel at a range. A toothbrush or rag to clean at home on your bench will work just fine.

Amateurs... save your pennies and pick these up from Daiso , they're $1.50 per 2 pack, break off the little lip at the front where the handle meets the brush, and you'll be set.
It's great for cleaning the inside of the mag and fits double stack mags and pistols like a glove. Save the rest of your money for ammo
