I get why indoor ranges are so strict. They have to be.

but.....most that have posted in this thread would probably die if they ever sat in our briefing room eating lunch with four or five duty belts on the tables all pointing at you. I stare down holstered loaded gun barrels everyday.....

My ccw gun hangs in my locker pointed at the entrance to the locker room...everyone that walks in goes past that muzzle and at any one time there are more than 6-8 guns pointed into the room inside lockers.

I don't even pay attention until I see two things 1. someone handling a gun or 2. a gun placed where it could fall. Out at a public range or any range for that matter things are different...but I work around firearms everyday all day long.

      - that's different
      - you guys are trained and disciplined

      - indoor ranges these days are filled with lots of n00bs and tourists from Europe

      - they see one guy with a sideways barrel, then you blink and the whole busload of tourists has barrels pointing in all unholy directions

Hey-ease up on the poor boy. He tried to do a bit of creative (maybe even humorous) writing and y'all bit a little too hard. BTW-I own the same pistol; can I swap the barrel for a 500?

Noobs can have a teachable moment from others or RSOs. Everyone starts somewhere, right?

I used to be annoyed that RSOs did stupid stuff like this. I’ve been to ranges that won’t let me load mags at the back bench, even if my firearm is locked in my bag. Made no sense. Then I became an RSO myself and realized...people are f*&$#ng stupid. I agree that a barrel is not a firearm, but I also get the RSOs point. Have to dumb it down to the lowest common denominator. Shake it off and go watch Die Hard. Life is too short.

OP is about to get his name shortened.

Cries because an RSO scolded him, calls everyone here soyboys for not agreeing with him. Classic.
