    CFARS- can't login or register

    1. I've tried the two email accounts I have, system says it doesn't recognize me.
    2. Tried both emails in the Lost Login and Password tool- says "That email is in use".

Called and played tag in the automated voicemail tree- good waste of 10 minutes. Emailed the DOJ, not heard back. Doing so in anticipation of ammo purchase- want to make sure I'm good in the system. I purchased a handgun 18 months ago and hold a valid CCW.

Any ideas how I can crack the code and get logged in properly? Thanks.

Which OS and browser are you using? Any script blockers running?

Firefox, Windows 10. Using ad blocker, I'll try with that shut off- it appears the Login attempt is made and generates the no joy message however.

      Edit- nope, no joy.

Got an automated response to my email asking for much of the information I had in my original note to them. I'll take it as progress, but just don't start a timer...

All of our passwords were made invalid recently. They seemed to have new rules in place for passwords. No repeated special characters more than two, no use of your name initials or some malarkey. If your current password violates the new rules, it no longer works.

I could not create an account with "iCloud". I could with "Gmail". I was having some of the same problems a few days ago.

DOJ called me back a week maybe two ago. She quickly did some sort of reset and boom- back working just fine. Bought ammo yesterday w/no hassle at all- I popped right up.

They dump your password every 6 months.
You verified that your email is already registered when it said your email was in use during your attempt to register again.
The password tool will get it changed.

Also, if you purchased a handgun 18 months ago, you are good to go.
Just make sure your information that you submit for ammo purchase exactly matches what you submitted for the handgun purchase.

Sorry for your pain. Their system can be a real nightmare. They couldn't have made things more difficult it they were trying ... well ... maybe that's the game.

Nope. First thing she had me do (and I'd tried several times before) and no joy. She didn't spend any other time trying to figure it out- said "let's just get it working for you" so I went along of course. :-)

I suspect she has a big red "Easy" button on her desk...
