    Sight Paint

I'm looking for some paint to help me pick up the sights a little faster shooting in daylight. The Glo On and True glo has terrible ratings.

Any recommendations? I've heard Testors enamel or nail polish as well but my wife's collection is very small.

I used White Out on the front sight of my Ruger Single Six.

Clean the sight with alcohol, or a little acetone, and allow to dry.
Carefully apply the liquid to the thickness you want before any of it dries.
Use a Q-tip to remove any excess.

The White Out I use has a brush applicator. Bought at Staples.

It's nice and bright, and has not yellowed. Inexpensive and easy.

I keep "white out" in my range bag. Works really well.

Fingernail polish. Follow the teeny boppers to their stores for outrageous colors. You'll find more neon type colors there than at Walmart, but I have found some yellows that work for my eyes at Wally World.

It's fun when they ask "Is this for your wife or your daughter?" and you tell them it is for your gun.

This question comes up from time to time. Here is another thread with multiple answers:

As mentioned in post #3, I use oil based Sharpie pens in florescent colors. Works great!

Nail polish works great. I've used white, yellow, orange, pink, and purple. Depends on what color targets you use. Just use different color than your target.

Now I like plain black sights.

                      Walmart nail polish.
I use a white base and red over that.

The Hobby Lobby in Visalia carries a huge full color line of Testors enamel in small jars, $1.00 each so they are most likely to be in all of their stores.
I use them to paint my home made bass plugs.

Use this if all you are worried about is daytime, in white. For dim light you need Glow-On.
