Hey all,
I was wondering what people do to train for the God-forsaken day that they have to use a weapon to defend themselves. Obviously the first items are to know the gun inside and out, know how to handle it safely and also be a fairly proficient shot with it.
Aside from that where do people suggest to go? To me it would be proper stance, which is usually simply what feels natural to you. Then, it would be holster use, becoming proficient at "quick-drawing" if you will, getting the gun out and pointing at the target as soon a possible; this is especially a big one for any CCW holders (the few lucky ones in CA.) Also in the mix I would think would be taking cover, especially in your home where it can be practiced easily.
Anyone with any other suggestions, like shooting a handgun from the hip for an attacker who is doing a full sprint at you and you don't have time to bring it up and take careful aim, etc. ?
