    New Bay Area Shooter

I've been looking around online and it seems like most of the ranges around the east bay are more for hand guns or shotguns, what about rifles? I'm building my first AR and would love to find a local group of shooters to meet up with. Anyone know the best place to search?

What part of the bay area are you in exactly?

Not sure about Richmond, but my Mother lives in Dublin (Guns, Fishing and other Stuff 25yds) and there's an indoor range that lets you use rifles. In Livermore (Livermore Pleasanton Rod and Gun club 100yds) there is an outdoor range but never been. I live in Sac and see many people from all over at the Beal Air Force range, Spenceville +300yds. Thought I was the only one crazy enough to drive 1.5 hours to go shooting.

USI in Concord is weeks away from reopening. They have a rifle range, but it is not more than 150 yard. I shoot my rifles in placerville on our property. When I'm in the bay, I always preferred USI to Livermore.
Can't wait for it to reopen.

USI would be perfect, only about a 15 minutes drive.

Vasco to livermore rod and gun club, guns fishing and other stuff, Richmond.
All three are about 40- 50 min from Pittsburg.
I miss usi was a 10 min drive for me and was great.
Also maybe stay away from livermore for a while, a member got followed home recently.
Just go to Dublin if you want to test function but for zeroing you gotta go to an outdoor.

Followed home?? It's a shame you have to keep an eye out for stuff like that.

Hey what's up, I am in pittsburg as well and find Richmond to be one of the better ranges for rifles currently.
In about a month U.S.I will be open again and it is literally a mile down the road from us. Maybe when they open we can meet up and shoot as I also have a new AR i built and have not yet shot.
