I consider a snubby 2.5" and shorter. BTW check out the lucky gunner ammo tests as you don't loose much if any going from 4" to 2".....kinda surprising.

Size does matter. They shrink to 2” in cold water.

I think it depends on the frame. On a NAA 22LR, a 3" barrel is a long target model
