got this email earlier today about people protesting the cow palace gun show this weekend. I wanted to make sure we all show up at the show in support of the NRA and the gun show.

This is an attempt to promote their extreme anti-firearms views while promoting the passage of the latest scheme to ban gun shows at the Cow Palace, SB585 http://nramemberscouncils.com/legs.s...b585&year=2009 .

Send this message to all of your friends in the San Francisco Bay Area and urge them show-up at the Cow Palace on Saturday, May 2nd - before 10:00am, and show your support for the gun show and lawful firearms ownership. WEAR YOUR NRA HATS!

If you don't have an NRA hat, you can probably get one when you join/renew with the NRA at the front gate of the gun show. :-)

I have a feeling that the media will be there to try to get a story. Whatever happens, don't talk to the media at all. It'll probably end up doing more harm than good unless you're one of the people "qualified" to speak to the media and prevent them from running a "this is why we need to ban the gun show" story on the news.

technically if it is all private property when it is rented they shouldn't be allowed on the grounds

I have access to a large format plotter. Anyone have any ideas for an inflammatory banner I can tape to by motorcycle.

I think protest signs should be like powerpoint presentations in that they should be limited to what's on them. Too much to read and they will get ignored.

I can't think of anything witty right now though
