You'll get no where with your comments. Their house, their rules. People will buy guns (especailly in our day and age), ammo and will need a local place to shoot. On Target will not lose their business because of you...but if you choose to persue to protest, then it saddens me to see more ranges being ran out by a shooter's personal angst.
Greg, Dog, Sad Man... I just want to be able to shoot for 45 minutes or 30 minutes if thats what time allows.

I just want to point out that ranges are rare at the moment and it doesn't help giving them more grief. I'm not against your complaint or anything vent away. Just recently, the Augura Hills range in Oxnard had shut down. Now THAT'S sad.

Someone else said "their house, their rules" or something to that effect. No worries, then the consumers will vote with their wallets and go elsewhere.

Good luck finding a new range that caters to your needs. I agree with your perspective, if you only needed 30 to 45 minutes, they could have let you in.

Most threads like this generally can be summed up and resolved with what I quoted. I don't mind that range generally and can understand the policy but if enough people vote with their wallet... Which I don't see happening, especially in this era. And especially because it is not like a restaurant where there is many other options within a short distance.

I rushed home from work last night to make to your range a little after 7PM, only to find a note on the door that they are closing early to do maintenance? Why cant you maintain your range from 7AM-10AM before you open? Why cant you maintain your range from 9-11PM after you close?

Its annoying enough that you don't let any shooters in after 7:45PM when you close at 9PM. Very often by the time I get home from work, I have enough time to get there at 8 or 8:15PM which gives me an 60 min to 45 min of shooting -- I am a member, let me in to shoot for 45 min!

            Here are my suggestions:

            1) Keep your doors open, always. If you have to maintain your range, do it outside your operating hours.

            2) If a shooter wants to come in at 8:30PM and shoot for 30 minutes, let them in. It sucks to be a member, and walk in at 7:50PM and HOPE I will be let in to shoot, when there is still 70 minutes on the clock.
            Wow!

Sounds like you want a communist country where you are Josef Stalin!

Why would a private owner want to pay overtime to do maintenance?

Why would an owner want to put up with customers complaining about over paying for shooting for only 30 minutes.

He set his rules because of problems he encountered including idiots that complain about closing right after they got their so he agreed to stay open an hour later and now you want him to stay open an hour later than that!

            Get real why not.

Rather than complaining at a public forum about a vendor not providing the service you demand of him making him look bad why not contact him directly.

I think we all believe in private enterprise because we are free not to use their service.

Can I suggest since you are saying there is only one gun range where you are at that you open and run a gun range that provides better service so all in your community can benefit.

Lots of complaining, not much action here I think.

I think its rude to complain about a service you are expecting that is not being offered by the vendor.

If it cuts into time at the range when I expect it to be open, it should be open, understood if there are emergencies

Q: "Sir, the range closes in 30 minutes, are you sure you want to pay?"
              A1: Yes
A2: No, I'll see you tomorrow
              A3: Yes, I am a member

I do not want this either, cease fire 8:45 PM sharp

I did, I am, and a few CGN folks are members as well

A great suggestion, this should be easy to do

And I think my time limit is a reasonable suggestion, and I have asked staff, and asked any CGN folks who are members there who would like to be able to shoot less than an hour to request this as well.
