built a new target stand....

~22 bucks to build. now to find some cardboard and a piece of plate steel. Any suggestions in San Diego for 5/8" plate steel?

nice sturdy design. I don't think wind will affect your stand. The vertical portion of the stand slides into the base assy. I assume for portability??

yep exactly. They just slip into the slot and hold vertical. It's pretty sturdy, I'd trust banging away at a plate all day with the .308.

I can see my wife rolling her eyes if and when I build a stand like yours in the garage (hee hee hee). Short of a large caliber direct hit, that stand should last a very long time!!

Instead of steel plate maybe get something you can shoot thru like those rubber targets. Self sealing type.
Less splatter on your wooden target holder.
