This. Look how many companies have been involved in incidents like this. Some of these companies are in no way a friend of the Second Amendment, they are simply profit-driven retailers. That is why we really should be identifying political allies in this fight, not simply retailers, and pouring money into THEM. I don’t care if I have to spend an extra 3% on my gun parts if I know the money is going to an ally.

Conversely, we should be identifying enemies, as well. We do the same with our 1A, no? Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube have become the enemy due to their restriction and commoditization of a natural right and active subversion of our society. We have identified politicians, factions, and parties that are taking part in the destruction of rights, whether actively or passively. Why should a corporation be any different? They are beholden to the dollar, not the nation.

Is Optics Planet friend or foe? I’ve not seen anything that would lead me to belief they are an ally...

I feel like most of these gun companies and adjacent industries are soaking up profits due to these “gun salesmen” politicians, and donating money to more anti’s to encourage more sales. In the end, they don’t care WHAT they sell, so long as they make money. An ar-15 in every American hand only sounds like a payday to them; they don’t hear the freedom bells ringing. They would be just as happy selling handcuffs and chains if they could make enough.

    Beholden to the almighty dollar...

CDNN Sports is worse. I tried to order a firing pin and bolt cam pin. They said they won't ship any AR parts to California.

CSA, I’ve always known you to be reasonable, and always super helpful when I’ve had a question. That said, I’m not sure where we’re disagreeing. They have the lawful right to harm gun rights in CA. I have the lawful right to tell them their policy is garbage, and that they can have all my business or none. But this discussion isn’t about forcing someone to do something against their will, like I think you’re alleging (though I could be wrong). That’s what sets us apart from the gun grabbers. What I’m saying is that either they can voluntarily do the right thing, or I can urge people to voluntarily squeeze their pocket book until they decide to do the right thing. That’s not fascism. That’s capitalism.

I've had my share of frustration with their inventory system both as a customer and a vendor. Fortunately they're updating their supply chain management system at the moment.

All I'm saying is that if someone want people to respect his/her rights, he/she needs to respect the rights of others. This is something that many on CGN seem to not understand.

Yes, OP is wrongly trying to hide behind non existent laws while trying to support their policies and that is wrong but, complaining about their policies isn't going to do anything productive. Hopefully they will return to this thread and understand that many of their products can be illegally used in any state and their BS excuse for not shipping certain items to certain states, where there is no law against possessing them, is just plain stupid and only helps the anti 2A movement. I've had similar conversations with CTD reps during SHOT over the years, explaining that their published policies only hurt their customers because, they claim it is illegal to ship many legal items to CA. They have always just given me a blank stare and not been able to respond at all.

Not complaining won't accomplish anything either. You don't respect the right of the consumer to complain?

Even if it was illegal in CA to purchase AR parts by mail, wouldn't the crime apply to the buyer and not some out of state parts house?
