    Crappy ar10 H3 buffer quality

Some folks ask how good is deltateamtactical.com stuff. Here is an example, bought this H3 buffer about 1.5~2 years ago. Be aware they have also other websites with different names selling same junk.

Palmetto State Armory sells a good quality H3 buffer, or they did several years ago.

That's just paint, it's not even black oxide.

I get all my heavy buffers from Slash.

They work great and don’t look like they were spray painted by a five year old.

To be fair you probably paid $10-$15 for the whole kit. What was your actual expectation ?

I empty mine of the steel/tungsten slugs and re-fill them with tungsten powder. They cycle much smoother.

I am a new so forgive me, but I see some little blemishes. Does that affect the functionality of the buffer system?

Can’t empty this one because it’s a solid piece of who knows what.

Blemishes are not a problem, problem is the weight of the buffer depends what kind of ar your running.

H3 is suppsoe to be heavy. I think mine is filled with tungsten slugs. Since steel weighs less than tungsten, you either have a solid tungsten buffer or you have a piece of junk.

An H3 buffer should weigh around 5.4 ounces.

Like others have said, and what everyone knows....DTT sells the low-end of parts.

So what does it weight ???
You did weight it to verify that when when you bought it....right ??
And when it arrived, why didn't you have quality concerns back then ??
Why did you wait 2 years to have them ??

                          OP...you thread title should be....

If it worked for two years and the weight is correct, you can probably just strip the paint and reuse it. You don't want the paint chips working it's way into the chamber. Just a thought.
