Finally obtained my Holy Grail, with bonuses

I've wanted a Springfield Pro for as long as I can remember, and now that I am in a job where I can carry a 1911, I wanted one even more. It just so happens one fell into my lap recently. I purchased this gun for a ridiculously low price considering all the work that was done to it and the fact that it was unfired.

I've run 100 rounds of HST through it and 100 or so rounds of Speer practice ammo, and it runs beautifully. The trigger is 4.1 pounds and is perfect. I have a PC9US Long Beach Operator that I was carrying, but this will be my carry gun from now on. I couldn't be happier.

I just had to show her off to you guys since I know you all will appreciate it.

Pics are a little big, sorry.

        Looks great, congrats.

I thought the professional model said professional on the slide.

I believe, and someone correct me if i'm wrong, the non railed version says professional, the railed says operator.

            Congrats!

            Very nice!

I've owned two SA 1911A1 "Loaded" .45 ACPs, shot the hell out of both. Great guns for the price.

I just upgrade to my Holy Grail gun, a COLT RAIL GUN in .45 ACP.

(WC extended slide lock, WC modified mag release, WC 10 round S/S mags, Ed Brown Mag Well, Magpul grips)

Taking it to Front Sight NV. for a second time this Monday.

I've shot lots of pistols, but I always gravitate back to the 1911s!

            Enjoy,

They are both called Professionals by SA.

Non railed says Professional, railed version says Operator.

Came across this a few days ago. He's a pretty well known 1911 expert/smith etc. Didn't know this, but he carried it for quite a bit during his career.

                        A lot of good insight.
