This store always asks what the contents are and then prints that out on a form. Don't know if this is a UPS policy or a store policy, but every package I have insured there for the past 7 or 8 years has been dealt with as such: they ask you what's in there, you tell them, they print a form that says whats in there with the declared value and you sign the form.
While I did package it, I did not have a pre-made shipping label. I usually go down there and just buy a label from them directly. Didn't think it would be a problem.sigpic

no gun parts in small UPS Shops- Hubs only
Especially with gunsRule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Really now? First I have heard of this. I know that guns are hubs only, but I was lead to believe that it was for fully functional firearms only, not components.
All it says on their policy page is "UPS accepts firearm parts for shipment, provided the part is not a "firearm" as defined under federal law; the contents of the package cannot be assembled to form a firearm; and the package otherwise complies with federal, state, and local law."

Huh, I have returned Amazon purchases that were firearm related (Burris fastfire). They never asked what it was, just scanned the return label and off I went. Sounds like a store policy, most UPS store are franchises, one near me won't honor Amazon's return item with no shipping packaging option. The other one that is luckily equidistant from my house has no problem with an unpackaged return. This store always asks what the contents are and then prints that out on a form. I wonder if that's the same with FedEx? Gone to the hubs before but there's a local box store UPS/FedEx location and the owner said no problem on shipping guns. I did it with FedEx through him.
I'm pretty sure it's a store policy to ask contents whereas asking for huge insurance (like me once shipping an expensive watch) required the shipper to physically inspect the box prior to shipping. I walked-out and never used them either.Comment

Print your label at home. When you drop it off at UPS store make sure they scan it and give you a receipt for drop-off. They never ask what it is when you pint your own label.Leftists Call their own Marxism a far-right "Fascist Conspiracy Theory" <- Link to their playbookComment

Simply write, "Trijicon optics part" and off it goes. This store always asks what the contents are and then prints that out on a form.
