    Buying accesories overseas?

Sometimes I peruse manufacturer sites from the EU. I notice that there are some accessories that are really hard to buy here but there its more common.

Has anyone ever bought small accessories while travelling abroad? Things like pistol sights, +0 base pads, small springs, etc?

you might run into issues related to ITAR and/or have your package intercepted by customs.

That is strange. I do recall getting Beretta 92 rubber base pads for my CZ75 magazines from Beretta USA like these:

Does the 92 Combat take different ones?

Personally, I am starting to notice more parts offerings coming directly from Hong Kong/China. Prices can be good but you take your chances on quality variations and delivery is often weeks out.

I recently bought a specific size AR rail that was good quality but took 2 1/2 weeks for delivery.

I was looking last week for LED replacement bulbs for a Maglite flashlight. The price was great, free shipping was appreciated but the 4 to 9 week delivery period was a deal killer.

Additionally, I am kind of skeptical about having to do any future returns, if necessary.

                    Another thing to ask...

Let's suppose I wanted to order something the EU. Are there any duties, taxes, or fees applied to certain accessories?
