Ruger Security Six, Walther PP importing

Concerning a Ruger Security Six .357 and Walther PP to be inherited from out of state to California, I don't see them on the Approved Rooster, does this mean they can't be transfered? The relative that passed does not qualify this a intrafamily tranfer, ie NOT parent, child, grandparent, grand child. Rather it is brother brother, uncle nephew

Is it possible to get them into California? (legally!)

What year is the Walther PP? Most are C&R and those are not restricted by the list.

Make sure the PP is 1968 or earlier, GTG. You will need a friendly FFL who will work with you on a C&R transfer.

Can the Ruger be converted to single action?

          Yes, pretty easy.

The PP is very likely C&R (and if so would be roster exempt) and the Security Six can be temporarily converted for DROS as a single action (roster exempt). If I was in the same shoes as OP, that is they way I would go.

Get the serial number for the PP, then look at this list. If it was made before 1970 you can import it
