First AKFILES meetup outside Phoenix this weekend.

I brought my machine guns out for an AKFILES meet by Lake Pleasant yesterday. The locals love taking pictures and videos of my toys. The meet was not that great. Just me and the organizer but that is typical for the first time. We still had lots of fun talking and shooting.

One of these days I am going to have to meet you Phil. My Mom lives in Mesa and I visit her every holiday. I wish I had known about this as I was there this weekend for a funeral and could have fit it in to my schedule. I will try to schedule a meet and shoot sometime in the near future. Problem is most of my time is spent doing handyman things for her that she can't do on her own. After all she is 76 years old. Anyway, I will pm you when I can clear up my schedule.

Ya. I was supposed to share a table with my friend Jeremy at XTECH Tactical but I had surgery Monday and needed to stay local and take it easy.

I'm hoping to have more shoots while the weather is good. Either at my private range or at the jabroni spot by lake pleasant. I really don;t care much for the public shooting spots since it is just a long firing line at 1 or 2 targets vs my range that has a run and gun course but I cannot run for at least 2 weeks and it's nice to meet new faces. One of my regular shootign buddies happened to be there that morning and as soon as he heard my 1919 going off he figured I was there and stopped by.

my 10 acre lot is way more west of lake pleasant. closer to my house but about the same time because i have about 5 miles of rough trails.

my 40 acre range is along i10 west of phoenix.

I wish I had bought a bunch of land on I-10 when Palo Verde was built. It was considered halfway to California. Now people are building houses out there and b*tching about radiation.
