Is there currently a check when purchasing ammo that will deny you the sale of calibers that are not registered to you?

Myself and likely thousands in CA have guns that were purchased years, or even decades ago that were never registered, nor were they required to be.

That fee is up to the FFL you do the "Transfer" at. I think you would pay their fee + $1 each for the back ground.

I thought the fee was fixed at $5 per transfer (plus background check fee) if it was a PPT for ammo. The fee can be anything for inbound transfers though.

When I got my first crate of 350 Legend no one had seen or even heard about it. No way for anyone to know I had the upper to shoot it.

My illegal alien drivers license was also ok.
