    Had forgotten how much fun...

Met up with my Dad over the weekend to go shooting at the club he belongs to. There were a few people shooting some large caliber rifles at the outdoor range so we went inside to plink away with some handguns and rimfire.

The three guns I had the most fun with, and shot the best with, were the oldest ones we brought, a Winchester 1890 in .22WRF, a Winchester 1906, and a Colt 1911. Now, the Colt isn't that old, but the 1890 is from 1907 and the 1906 from 1913. What a blast! With just the old iron sights I was able to put 1" groups together in the bullseye at 50' after my 2nd load of 10 shots with both of them.

Okay, I know that that isn't a very impressive distance, but I haven't shot either of these much in years. And they're just plain fun.

My two favorite guns of all time are the 1906, the first firearm I ever shot, and a Ruger Mark 1, the first pistol I ever shot, and probably the most accurate.

Ahhh, they say you never forget your first love.

There was a long thread about which was your first firearm, sounds like you should search for it and add your favorites to the list.
