Best bipod for the money?

What do you guys recommend? Ballpark $100 is ideal, cheaper is better, of course.

How does ggg compare to harris?

I saw the magpul one, I'm leaning towards it, but hoping for second opinions. Design looks modern and very magpul like.

Harris is the standard.

Harris is solid, but can be difficult to preload in comparison to others.

Depending on caliber; if the bipod lacks preload you may experience difficulty tracking the round down range, and staying on target without having to adjust after each round.

Lot of info on this online in regards to Harris, and can attest first hand shooting .308 with the Harris.

Still a solid bipod though; just something to consider.

I have a Magpul M-Lok and a cheapo Caldwell XLA (off-shore Harris knock-off) that mounts on the sling swivel.

IMO, If you don't go nuts on the upgrades and mounting system, a Harris can still the best bang for the buck.

Harris is probably the most widely used bipod by every shooter, including the pros. I use the Harris and the Atlas CAL.
Please don't buy the knockoffs.

Only reason I leaned towards the Magpul was because it didn't have any exposed springs, not that it matters that much to me, but because it looks slicker.

Atlas is too rich for my blood. I've been eyeing that GGG on ebay in the Deals section here, though since it was mentioned. How does that compare to Harris?

In that price range, Harris SBRM. Replace the cant tension knob with a podlock lever. Makes it much easier to use.

I use an Atlas on my competition rifle and LOVE it. However, it is twice as expensive as a Harris and the Harris works just as well, just a little bulkier.

I also have the magpul on my son's rifle. It is really nice. Both Harris and Magpul are great bipods.
