Okay, I know it’s heresy, but I do love my Stevens 350... excellent design - mediocre finish.

Yes, beautiful 37s. Nice to see Ithaca make a comeback. I'll most likely get a 37 if I come across one (to keep my SBE 2 company). Thanks for the share.

That was my first shotgun. I got it as a birthday present from my grandfather, 47 years ago. Still have it.

I carried an issue 37 many years in my patrol unit. I trained with and shot 00 buck and slugs. I was confident that gun would perform perfectly if my life depended on it. I always carried extra slugs in my jacket pocket.

I was trained with it, and I have one. I like it. With the rifle sight barrel, I was able to hit a 16" steel plate at 300 yards with a slug.

We also used the 37 with rifle sights when I was a rookie LAPD officer in 1981. As a left- handed long gun shooter, it was much smoother to use than an 870, due to the safety position.

I have 4. 3 are original short barreled guns, the 4th is a DSPS. I found all at gun shows with a bit of looking.

Not only the safety, but bottom ejection and awesome reliability.

I have two old department guns. One was issued and shows wear. The other was new and had never been put into service when we sold our Ithaca's. Great combat shotguns!!

I got the tail end of it, and got drawn for one. It looks old, but mechanism was still in good shape.

Yea the old LASD ones I used had zero finish. They had a patina of oiled smooth rust.
