Exploded Glock 30 question (no pictures)

I have a hunting buddy that had a brain fart and screwed up a charge of Red Dot. First round through his G30 and it launched and exploded the magazine and split the frame in half on one side from the trigger on up to the extractor. Took him a year to even tell me about it. Is they're any way to get a new frame for him? Or is it basically just sell the slide and put it towards a new one? I know 2Azone does a buy back type program but it looks like only for G17 and G19. Thanks guys.

turn in the gun to have it removed from his name.
      not worth messing with.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

It was his hand load that caused the damage 100%. Hes an old timer from a past era and I'm just trying to see what options he has. Would Glock really warranty or replace?

If it was a US made Hi Point, Hi Point would take care of his issue free of charge, no ifs or buts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if bad ammo resulted in a damaged firearm, isn't there some law/warranty/liability that states the ammo manufacturer has to buy a new firearm for him?

As stated already, have him give Glock a call, worst they can say is no.
