ASP Vacaville range closing...will still have a storefront

Got word from the front desk that ASP in Vacaville is closing. Landlord won't renew their lease and will be gutting it to turn it into a retail spot. Apparently, landlord no longer wants anything gun-related in their portfolio. ASP is gonna relocate somewhere in Vacaville, but without a range. Will be a store only.

There goes a Vacaville landmark. That spot's changed hands a few times, but has always been a range. Been going there since the early '90s. Really sucks.

That sucks. I did a couple PPTs there, guys behind the counter seemed cool. The range was a little sad, but still hate to see any range shut it’s doors these days.

And the left wins again. It sucks when your go to range shuts down
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Given how long that building's been a dedicated range, it sure seems fishy that, alluvasudden, Mr. Landlord no longer wants it to be such. Watch...it'll turn into a pot shop or something.

Gonna miss that place. Range has seen better days, but still...I was very comfortable there.

Total BS, the landlord was probably pressured by local gov't "activists"

Great shop, great staff, will be sure to check out the new site when able...

Yep...I'll help with shop-warming, as well. Good guys at ASP.

That's too bad, I'm not local any more, but have done PPT's there and used the range a few times. Nice folks in there, hope the move goes smoothly. Really sucks losing another range.

Drove down to ASP to do a PPT last year.
Good people, hope they find another place to call home.
Always wonder why a landlord kicks out a long term business.
Hope the new tenants bring in nothing but trouble and late rent checks.

This is FUD. They just posted a couple days ago that they are moving. The only thing that is closing is the range.

Sorry I didn’t read your whole post. My bad. You should change that title though it’s misleading.

Its been my favorite shooting range to go to in the early 2000s. Sad to see it go.

When bullseye in San Rafael closed, I overheard that the landlords of such ranges are concerned about hazardous levels of lead exposure and long-term liability to neighboring businesses.

Not so sure they are anti-gun as much as anti-getting-sued.

Ranges need to own their buildings or not have commercial neighbors.
