I can't think of an instance where the answer would be yes. However, can you elaborate? How and when was the gun registered? Handgun or long gun? Assault weapon registration, or other type of registration? Why do you ask? More details help to give an accurate answer. -

I have handgun 3 years from now.and I don't have an idea if the registration will be renewed or not.Comment

Registration isn't something "renewed". It's just a record that you own such-and-such firearm. If you become dispossessed of the firearm, you can file a form to notify the DoJ you are no longer in possession... but that's about it.
In that regard, registration is essentially for life (unless you sell/lose the firearm)Comment

In CA, with 2019 laws, there is no such thing as 'renewing a registration'. At the moment it's a 1-time thing, principally occurring through the DROS data sent to the state by dealers/FFLs.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

How, or from whom, did you acquire the 3 handguns? How do you know they are, in fact, registered in the first place?
If you have confirmation of registration, and no documents have been filed to disassociate you with that registration, then, like others have said, the firearms remain registered to you. There is no registration expiration in California; if you register a gun, it will remain registered to you for your life, unless there are further documents submitted after your registration regarding the disposition of that gun.Comment

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

How did you get your handgun 3 years in the future? Are you a wizard?
Assuming you purchased a handgun legally, California's handgun registration via the DROS process does not ever expire or need to be renewed.
If you are talking about some other kind of registration then you'll need to be more precise.Comment

In CA...
There is no expiration to firearm registration.
The CA system is a historical database that tracks a firearm.
Which is why CA DOJ BOF is still inputting paper DROS records, from before the 1980s, into the database.
They won't stop until all the records, which started in 1924, they have are entered.Last edited by Quiet; 09-27-2019, 7:34 AM.sigpic
