    Hodges Rd blm question

Please move this if this topic is in the wrong section.

Does anyone know the website for the blm site for Hodges rd? On the BLM website, I found out info for Stoddard valley ohv area but not actually Hodges Rd( I know no shooting is allowed on Stoddard due to OHV area).

I also do realize that fire season is in effect but wanted to check out the area. Thanks for any info

You need to download the San Bernardino County shooting map. It shows the legal areas in the county.https://cms.sbcounty.gov/parks/Fisha...otingMaps.aspx

I thought it was BLM land. Are there restrictions at Hodge road? Steel projectile, steel targets. It doesn't look like there's much fire fuel there.

I dislike shooting around other people when I'm out at the desert. I'm thinking this would be a good spot to go during mid week.

Hodge is private property. Different owners depending on the lot. If you are looking to avoid other people, Hodge Rd will likely disappoint you. All kinds of idiots and riff-raff there. I suggest you buy BLM and SB County shooting maps so you can properly educate yourself and find a suitable spot.

I wasn’t impressed with Hodge RD when I went. Just too many idiots not practicing firearms safety etiquette. Shortly after someone got shot by a stray round.

Much rather go to a pay range and have a RSO making sure people are practicing safety

Don’t even waste your time driving there. Go to pala or Angeles if you want to shoot your long range.

It's an ok spot to shoot at OP, just drive in a little further from the front entrance where most of the crowds are. Best to have 4wd of some kind too.
