    Finally got my Savage together

Well I finally got it together. Mounting the scope base was harder than it should have been though. The screws would not thread into the holes in the receiver. Looks like they were filled with the same coating that is on the rifle. Fortunately I had a 6-48 bottom tap on hand from a previous project. Chased the holes out and the rest came together. Now I just have to get some time to sight it in (although I only have 150 grain winchesters at the moment).

    Millet TRS scope
    Harris Bipod with T-nut podlock

Just need to get a sling and develop some brass so I can develop some loads for it.
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.
