Following mass shootings last month in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, that left a total of 31 people dead, a few major supermarket chains have changed their policy in an attempt to limit gun violence.
Albertsons has joined a list of retailers -- including Walmart, Kroger, CVS and Walgreens -- that have asked shoppers to not openly carry firearms.

That leaves me here in Bakersfield to shop at Aldi (sucks, poor poor selection), Winco (decent selection, a little more costly than Walmart, cheaper than Vons), Grocery Outlet (spotty selection, decent prices), AM/PM, 7-11, Fastrip, and other gas stations. There may be a Sprouts, but not sure where it's located.
I've been in two, for lack of a better term, Mexican grocery stores, and they both smelled like death from rotting I don't know what and I don't want to know. So no way am I shopping at one of the many MexicanMarts here in town.
