Selling a few rifles on Gunbroker and in the past, I've reused shipping boxes that I've had C+R's sent to my house.

What chain store can I find long rifle shipping boxes?

To purchase online includes a nifty $20 shipping charge.

No place that I have found stocks rifle boxes. Maybe a lighting store where you could get used boxes which held florescent roof fixtures?

A guitar shipping box might also work for your needs. Reverb.com sells 3 50" x 20" x 8" boxes for $35 shipped.

Walmart had Flambeau 50.5inch rifle-shotgun case on sale for about $10
Sadly, they are no longer offered on line. Local stores may still have some tho'

You could hit up local Lighting Distributor or Contractor Companies to see if they have empty 4' Fluorescent / LED Tube boxes

Go to a U-haul service center. Buy the box to ship pack golf clubs.
Make the box yourself.
Long board as a straight edge to make the creases .
I just glue the flaps together.
A can of spray foam insulation. Spray into a bag and let form to the rifle.
Or you can wrap the rifle in plastic and then use the insulation. Too messy but works.

Ha, yea, good luck! I was just looking at my pile of cardboard going yay I don't have to take it out to the recycling bin!! Oh well, maybe somebody else wants em lol
