    Areo Percussion

So, do they make quality parts? Everything I've read seems good but any of you own or use them?

    Yes, Aero makes good stuff.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I've had limited but good experiences. They are also the majority owner of Ballistic Advantage.

It's my go to company for percussion instruments

I do use that other Aero company for AR parts and have had good luck with them.

Is that like an airplane with some really loud drums?

There was a thread about a year ago where some guy bashed Aeroprecision, but for the life of him he couldn't figure out how to spell it.

I'd like to order 1 lower, extractor, rear sight pin, and a set of 18 inch crash cymbals to go along with my favorite Bass drum.

The thread title tricked me; thought for sure AP had come out with an inline muzzleloader upper for an AR-15 lower.

It’s overpriced in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely useable quality but I wouldn’t consider it high end. I’d sooner build a gun cheaper with cheap non essential parts like stripped lower, stripped upper, stock etc and splurge on a good barrel and trigger. Their customer service is marginal. Takes multiple phone calls and long wait times with terrible music while on hold. Then they accidentally disconnect you and you start over. Eventually they come through and make things right. I’d shop other mid range manufacturers and see who could likely give you a better price for an equivalent rifle.

Take for instance Aeros handguards. They start at 179$, seriously? Handguards are a great indicator of who’s overcharging. It’s not a fancy handguard. You can buy an equivalent one for 79$.
